YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER OIL FOR YOUR WOODEN PATIO FURNITURE. WHEN YOU BUY A NEW WOODEN SET MAINTENANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT. If the furniture is fully exposed ensure you oil it with an oil designed for full exposure (it must contain UV filters). Oil when the wood appears dry or starts changing colour drastically. The more you oil the better. Treat the wood like you would your skin. If you were going into the sun you would put on sun screen. Oil is the woods sun screen. As with all plastic and metal furniture you would clean this off before use. Wooden furniture is not different. Instead of cleaning the wooden furniture before use rather apply a coat of oil as part of the cleaning process 1 hour before use. If you use the furniture once a week or more this is more than enough in terms of an oiling regime. If your furniture is going to be exposed to the sun for long periods of time and not in use (this includes long term storage) – consider the following: * Cover with a UV resistant PVC cover. * Store in or under a covered area and move out when in use.
